This parameter specifies any preferred media hotel of a branch.

When an item with a fixed relationship to a branch is returned, it should basically be assigned to its fixed branch. If there is no available space there in relation to the current stock of a item grouping and the branch does not have a designation that it always must be assigned its own items (the “Fixed item never on media hotel” parameter), then the item must be assigned to a media hotel. If the branch has specified a preferred media hotel via this parameter, then that media hotel receives the highest priority and the item is assigned there if space is available.

This parameter has no effect on the assignment of floating items.
