This parameter specifies the cover width used as a last resort in calculating an item’s width when the number of pages of the item is known.

The item’s width is arrived at by adding the cover width to the calculated width of the pages (page width * number of pages).

The cover width must therefore cover the width that is not included in the pages counted (cover + unnumbered pages).
