P45 Single Sign-On Groups

When Single Sign-On (SSO) is used to log on to IMMS, users are authenticated by an external identity provider. Each user belongs to one or more groups in the identity provider. This page makes it possible to map SSO groups to IMMS roles, so that members of a group are automatically granted the corresponding roles when they log on. This page is only available when SSO login has been configured for the installation.

For each SSO group it is possible to view the following information:


MAIN PAGE (P45): Single Sign-On Groups

Element Description
Search field Only groups matching the search criteria entered are displayed in the table
Table of SSO groups The following information is shown in the table
  • Name
  • Display Name
  • Roles
  • Created Date
The table can be sorted by the contents of the columns. Sorting is enabled by clicking on the specific column name you would like to sort by.

“Edit” button Shows the “Single Sign-On Group” dialog box, showing detailed information about the selected group, where the display name and roles can be edited

DIALOG BOX (P45.1): Single Sign-On group

This dialog box is used for editing the display name and roles of a SSO group.

Element Description
Name The name of the group as provided by the identity provider. This value cannot be edited.
Display Name A descriptive name for the group that can be edited
Created Date The date when the group was created. This value cannot be edited.
Group roles table Displays a table of roles associated with the selected group. The table contains the following fields
Please note: Role changes do not take effect until next login
“Add” button Displays a dialog box for adding roles to the group (Choose a role and perhaps a branch)
“Remove” button Removes the selected role from the group
